Morning’s eye sees everywhere
the green field of dew draped grass
Afternoon’s eye sees only where
a single blade leaning protects
the only drop its day will hold

Evening’s eye sees everything
and draws its lashes close
…the only drop it will hold… Wonderful words here….so protective. I see a blade of grass, the long kind we used to pick and cup in our hands to whistle from….holding its last dew drop…its only refreshment for the long hot day ahead. Thank you for the lovely image.
